This is my personal blog which I periodically update when my thoughts on a range of subjects. This blog utilises the WordPress open source blogging tool. It has been up and running since early 2005 when I purchased aaronheath.com. It now also has a couple of other domains forwarding too it (aaronheath.co.uk and aaronheath.me).
Pics

This is a image gallery system that I have developed and is where I publish all my personal pictures. It was developed after deciding I wasn't going to be paying for Flickr when I could develop my own system and have it tailored for how I want to use it.

I built it utilising my skills with PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, MySQL, HTML5, CSS and on the Apache HTTP server platform.

The site features are but not limited it to the:

About My Browser

Features of this page are but not limited to:

UEFA Competition Tracking
http://uefa.aaronheath.com/

I have always been a lover of sport and have decided to create one of my tracking systems to be publically viewable. All the entering of results and fixtures is performed on the backend however anyone is now able to view the output in an attractive format.

Features of this site include but are not limited to:

It took me about two weeks to develop this system from next to scratch. I feel it has turned out fairly well.

One guarantee I will make is that it will load much much faster than uefa.com.

More information on this project can be found here.

Depp the Dalmatian
http://depp.aaronheath.com/
This is one of my main projects at the moment. It is currently a picture blog which is periodically updated with pictures of my dalmatian Depp (named after actor Johnny Depp). It was launched in February 2011 to coincide with the arrival of Depp from Australia following my migration to the other side of the planet.

The site has been wholly coded by myself utilising PHP and MySQL running on a Linux server. The site also interfaces with ImageMagick to resize images for the site and with Twitter to update Depp's account when new pictures are uploaded.

Direct Me
http://url.aaronheath.com/
This is a simple tool that I have written to reduce the length of long URLs. These URLs can be used in messenger programs or character limited environments such as Twitter. It is written in PHP. The user can enter in a long URL such as 'http://support.microsoft.com/kb/242450' and it will be reduced to a much smaller URL (in this case 'http://url.aaronheath.com/okE0k'). This is open to the public and anyone can use.

Retired Projects
Cricket World Cup 2011
No Link Available
This project tracked the most recent world cup. It was easily the most complicated sports tracking project due to the intricate nature of cricket and the regulations of the world cup. This is a project that I am very proud of particularly due to how complicated cricket is.
